Although no official “local patent rules” have been entered yet, Judge Albright has released two standing orders for patent cases: 1) an order governing patent proceedings, and 2) a general scheduling order for patent cases. The Court issued an Updated Order Governing Proceedings - Patent Cases in February of 2020. The standing orders for the Waco Division of the WDTX relating to patent and trademark cases are:

On July 25, 2022, Chief Judge Orlando Garcia of the Western District of Texas (WDTX) issued an order randomly assigning patent cases filed in the Waco Division of the Western District of Texas.
